To the Personnel of the Public Prosecution Bodies
Please accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of your occupational holiday the Day of the Public Prosecution Bodies of Ukraine.
Activity of the public prosecution bodies occupies a crucial place in the State law enforcement system, as it shall secure observance of fundamental human values. The European course of development aimed at the European standards of activity of the law enforcement bodies presupposes supremacy of law and order, protection of citizens´ constitutional rights and liberties, as well as national interests from any violations.
At present, there are all the grounds to assert that the public prosecution bodies of Ukraine persistently work for realization of effective preventive measures, development of public legal awareness, orientation of legal responsibility and criminal penalties for reimbursement of the inflicted damage and re-socialization of the infringers rather than punishment, and prevention of new crimes.
Time passes and the public prosecution bodies are changed. Hopes that the society relied on the public prosecution bodies strengthens its destination to protect legitimacy, irrevocability of the Constitutional system and democratic organization of Ukraine.
The latest initiatives of the General Prosecutor´s Office of Ukraine regarding the adoption by the Parliament of the urgent laws in the sphere of economic and social-cultural rights of the citizens, protection of their life and prevention of crimes deserves special attention.
This profession is the special mission of social importance and responsibility. All of you have made conscious choice and became state official that should serve high ideals of the legal state and show the example of judicial relevant experience and tactfulness.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has always facilitated creation of legislative conditions for the effective activity of the public prosecution bodies and enhancement of social importance of this State institute.
I wish you all the best and success in the honourable and responsible social mission for the sake of Ukrainian nation.
